Windows 10 Home users will have noticed that every 60 days the operating system forces them to change their user password, for obvious security reasons. However, if you want to disable this policy, you will soon notice that the option cannot be changed (whereas this is easy to do in the “Pro” edition).
To make this change anyway, click “Start“, type cmd, right-click “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator” from the drop-down menu, confirm with OK and, once the Command Prompt has opened, type:
wmic UserAccount where Name='User' set PasswordExpires=False
Of course, replace User with your own username
(keep the single quotes!)
Once you press ENTER, you will be told whether or not the command was successful.
